Perri Irmer, former executive director of the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority – which oversees the operation of the Chicago White Sox’s U.S. Cellular Field – is suing White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf and former Gov. Jim Thompson for what she claims was a wrongful termination from her position.

Romeoville mayor defeats former Chicago Bears player Steve ‘Mongo’ McMichael

Former Chicago Bears player Steve "Mongo" McMichael's celebrity status wasn't enough to upset Romeoville Mayor John Noak in Tuesday night's election.

Noak retained his mayoral post for the second full term, capturing 62 percent of the vote against McMichael's 38 percent with all precincts reporting.
