Special Olympics Celebrates Opening Ceremony

Special Olympics Chicago hosted the opening ceremony of its 47th annual spring games at Soldier Field Monday morning.  

Thousands of students, coaches and supporters from all over Chicago marched in the welcoming parade. Chicago White Sox pitcher Jeff Samardzija served as the honorary head coach and declared the official start of the games. The festivities included performances from the Jesse White Tumblers and the Ray Graham High School drum line.
