The Chicago Housing Authority Board green lighted Tuesday selling 13.2 acres of the former Robert Taylor Homes site to a South Side tennis and recreation company amid concerns that CHA residents were not properly consulted about the sale.

CHA gets $2 million under the deal from XS Tennis Village, which will build indoor courts, a fitness center, and classrooms. The acquired land at 53rd and State streets in the Bronzeville neighborhood has sat vacant for the last decade, due to CHA's demolition of the famous public housing site.
