Panel on Chicago violence wrestles with combating guns

The City Club of Chicago and the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation hosted a panel Thursday about Chicago violence, which quickly turned into a focus on city efforts to specifically stop gun crime.

The event’s moderator Julia Stasch, MacArthur’s current head of U.S. grant-making and soon-to-be interim president, told the packed room that the event’s turnout was “a testament to the critical nature of the issue for our city.”
