Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced on Thursday that 24 corporate and community partners have joined Chicago’s growing Divvy bike program.

The new partners of the nation’s fourth-largest bike-sharing program include World Business Chicago, Sprout Social, the Metropolitan Planning Council, Fox News Digital, Big Bowl, Morningstar and HBK Engineering, among others, according to a mayoral press release.

The partnerships allow each organization’s employees to receive discounted rental rates.

Chicago Department of Transportation has so far installed “safe passage” signs near 10 schools that will be receiving new students from shuttered schools next school year and has added new crosswalks at 30 schools, according to the mayor’s office; City has also hired 245 residents to guide students along the designated safe passages and the City Council approved stricter fines for those found possessing weapons near the routes

The city’s new Small Business Center will launch a new express lane and self-service area designed to provide customers with faster service, Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced Monday.

The Center was launched in May to provide small business owners and entrepreneurs in the city with a one-stop shop of business resources such as permits and licenses.
