Almost two years after the move was first announced, Mayor Rahm Emanuel joined with Motorola Mobility executives Tuesday to unveil the company’s new headquarters in Merchandise Mart.
The mobile-device maker’s transition from Libertyville to more than 600,000-square-feet of space on the Merchandise Mart’s top four floors and rooftop makes the company the building’s largest tenant. According to a press release from the mayor’s office, Motorola Mobility will bring 2,000 jobs to the city.
