The Regional Transportation Authority Board on Wednesday unanimously approved a $2.9 billion 2015 operational budget for the three service boards whose financing it oversees – the Chicago Transit Authority, Metra and Pace.
The CTA will receive $1.44 billion under the budget plan, the lion’s share of the funding. The RTA allocated $753.1 million for Metra and $223.3 million for Pace, according to a press release from the agency. RTA’s 2015 budget also sets aside $172.2 million for ADA paratransit and $42.2 million for the RTA’s own operations.
