Pushing papers. Data on chicagocouncilmatic.org, a website that organizes Chicago City Council legislation, shows Ald. Brendan Reilly (42nd) sponsored more ordinances than any other Chicago alderman in the last month, with 88. Ald. Ed Burke (14th) was the second most-active alderman, with 48 ordinances sponsored and Ald. Scott Waguespack (32nd) ranked third with 34.

A drink with Rahm. Mayor Rahm Emanuel gave a high-energy interview during Techweek to adrinkwith.com. As the name suggests, the Chicago-based website talks with local business, political and pop culture figures over a drink. Though Emanuel didn’t throw one back during last week’s interview, the website’s founders said the mayor’s drink is on them next time.

Good sport. Hockey aficionado and U.S. Congressman Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) has reaped the reward of a NHL championship bet he made with U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) before the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Boston Bruins for the Stanley Cup. Lynch gave the North Side representative some Boston-style clam chowder and a case of Harpoon beer. Always a good sport, Quigley paid off his half of the bet too and sent Lynch Eli’s cheesecake and treats from Nuts on Clark.

On the town. As someone who regularly meets with clients from the early morning hours until the wee hours of the night, Bill Sugarman, who founded the Chicago-based firm Astor Professional Search LLC, has become an expert on some of the city’s best breakfast, lunch and dinner spots. Check out his favorites in this feature from Crain’s Chicago Business.

Turtle power. Aaron Cuschieri, executive chef at the Slurping Turtle Japanese restaurant in River North, is currently filming for the upcoming episode of the popular cooking show Top Chef, according to sources. The next season of the show is being filmed in New Orleans.

Run for a cause. The 3rd annual RUN! To End Homelessness 5K takes place at 8 a.m. Sunday. Runners will start in Douglas Park at 1225 S. California Ave. Proceeds from the event will benefit Safe Haven, an organization that works to prevent homelessness. Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle chaired the run's 2013 host committee. For registration information, visit runtoendhomelessness.org.
