Aldermen to vote on income tax rollback

DuPage County Board chairman calls for regional cooperation

DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin said at a City Club of Chicago speech Tuesday that county and city officials, Democrats and Republicans, must work together toward a more efficient and responsible government. The county leader, who also heads DuPage County’s Republican party, specifically called for cooperation on regional transit policy.

In a political environment where Illinois Republicans face attacks from the conservative right, Cronin called himself an “incrementalist” more interested in working on a “good solution” than waiting for the perfect one.
