Chicago Venture Summit names first five presenters

Organizers of the Chicago Venture Summit on Tuesday named the first five businesses that will share their stories at this year’s event.

The companies are the first of “dozens” of emerging growth businesses that will present at the summit, according to the organizers. The event is scheduled for Oct. 14 and 15 at Venue Six10, located at 610 S. Michigan Ave. in the South Loop.

“These first five firms are an excellent representation of the innovation we are seeing across the Midwest and what we expect will be an eye-opening display of what makes Chicago and the region such a rich opportunity for investors,” said Guy Turner, managing partner of the Hyde Park Venture Partners venture capital fund.

The first five presenters are:

  • Keeper Security, the Chicago-based creator of Keeper, a password management and data vault application;
  • Geofeedia, the Chicago-based social media monitoring firm;
  • Minnetonka, Minn.-based TrackIf, which tracks consumer goods’ prices online and creates personalized alerts;
  • Ahalogy, the Cincinnati-based company that creates content marketing tools to help companies gain exposure on Pinterest; and
  • RocketMiles.com, which is based in Chicago and allows consumers to earn frequent flier miles when booking at select hotels
