Curbed Chicago editor AJ LaTrace recently used Yelp reviews containing the terms “trash” and “garbage” and Natural Resources Defense Council data to compile a list of the Chicago Park District’s dirtiest beaches.
As one might expect, the beaches with the highest numbers of visitors also turn out to be the dirtiest. Montrose Beach, which is frequented by people with dogs and those hosting picnics and barbecues, topped LaTrace’s list.
